Ceremonies organized throughout the country on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day and the day of commemoration of heroes fallen for the independence of our homeland

CHISINAU, February 5, 2020 — The decision “On the organization and carrying out of the actions dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory Day and the commemoration of the fallen heroes for the Homeland Independence” was adopted today by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The document, elaborated and promoted by the Ministry of Defense, was presented by the minister Victor Gaiciuc at today’s meeting of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

Victor Gaiciuc mentioned that the decision includes the approval of the National Action Plan dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day and the commemoration of the fallen heroes for the independence of the Fatherland and the establishment of a Working Group responsible for its implementation.

According to the Minister of Defense, the document was prepared based on the proposals submitted by the government institutions and local public authorities, responsible for the respective field, but also the veteran’s organizations in the country, and provides for the organization and development, during 2020, of a series of activities undertaken. of the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day in World War II and the taking of social protection measures for war veterans.
