Distance learning at the "Alexandru cel Bun" Military Academy



Chisinau, March 19, 2020 - Students of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces "Alexandru cel Bun" study at a distance, as a result of the suspension of the educational process in educational institutions, in the context of preventing the spread of the COVID-19.

According to the Commander-rector of AMFA, Colonel Sergiu Plop, the lessons are organized according to the previously established schedule, the students participating in both theoretical and practical meetings.

The students are in the classrooms between 8:00 and 13:00, interacting with the teachers online, through video transmissions, telephone or on the intranet platform of the institution.

The source added that the Academy provided teachers and students with the necessary technical and didactic means, including laptops and interactive whiteboard for the efficient conduct of classes.

"Since last week, the institution has been in quarantine. All these measures have been taken to avoid any contact of military students with persons outside the Academy. At the moment, there are a limited number of administrative, medical staff and students of the I-IV courses on the territory ", mentioned Colonel Plop.

According to the AMFA commander, so far, no cases of acute respiratory infections have been registered within the institution, all sanitary and sanitation measures being taken.

Note: It should be mentioned that prevention and precautionary measures have been taken in all units of the National Army and Ministry of Defense, in connection with the seasonal increase in the number of respiratory infections, but also as a result of detecting cases of Coronavirus infection of new type in Moldova.
