The staff of the Ministry of Defense and the National Army donated to fight COVID-19

CHISINAU, April 3, 2020 - The military and civilian employees of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and the units of the National Army donated the salary for a working day in support of actions to prevent the new type of virus COVID-19.

Thus, as a result of the initiative of the management of the defense institution, the amount of about 700,000 lei was collected, the military from all units, institutions and subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense mobilizing for this purpose.

The amount collected will be transferred to the special account opened by the Ministry of Finance for combating coronavirus in the Republic of Moldova.

In a message posted on a social network, the Minister of Defense, Alexandru Pînzari thanked the entire staff of the National Army for their prompt contribution to the efforts of the authorities in the fight against the pandemic.

"Thank you to all those who donated the salary for a working day in support of actions to prevent the new type of COVID-19 virus!

I appreciate your solidarity and support of the national efforts to prevent COVID-19.

Dear military from all units, institutions and subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense, who have mobilized for this purpose, I assure you of all my respect and I wish you good health! ”, mentioned Alexandru Pinzari.
