CHISINAU, April 4, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari, accompanied by the Commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, inspected the Military Camp 142, in order to document the activity of the personnel, the training process, the infrastructure and the military equipment, as well as the rank of compliance with the protection measures against COVID-19 undertaken by the management of the units. Thus, the barracks, the canteen, the recently renovated sports complex, the stadium under construction and the cultural-educational center was checked. Also, the officials visited the car park and got acquainted with the condition of the technical units from the endowment of the units deployed in the Camp. During the visit, increased attention was paid to the actions taken by the commanders of the units for the protection of subordinate personnel in the context of COVID-19. Alexandru Pinzari urged the military to demonstrate maximum responsibility and discipline in complying with pandemic recommendations, including hygiene and sanitation rules. At the same time, the Minister warned about the need for daily training of personnel and maintenance of military equipment, in order to intervene, if necessary, in support of the authorities, during the state of emergency.
