More than 50 people asked for help on the VETERAN telephone line (video)



 

CHISINAU, the April 6, 2020 -The Ministry of Defense received over 50 requests from war veterans on the trusted VETERAN hotline, set up last week to manage the problems of war veterans and those in power structures, the families of the fallen, war widows.

According to the head of the Mobilization Resources Management Center and the staff of the National Army, Colonel Leonid Danilov, most of the calls came from veterans in Chisinau, as well as localities in Orhei, Hincesti, Causeni and Dubasari municipalities.

The source specified that the main problems registered by the operators of the telephone line refer to the purchase of food and medicines, the medical policy, as well as to various family problems. At the same time, some veterans call to receive information regarding the completion of the documents or to find out where to go to solve the problems they face during this period.

Colonel Danilov added that all requests are registered and verified, and then sent to officials in the Territorial Military Centers or Military Administrative Sections in all municipalities or localities to be processed and submitted for examination and settlement, as far as possible, to local public authorities.

Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari encouraged all veterans to call the telephone number:

022 25 20 65, 022 25 21 78, between 8.00-17.00 (Monday to Friday), or the mobile phone number 060705138, 24/24, for to request assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures.

"Dear veterans, you can address directly in the territory, because even there we have open telephone lines next to each Military Center or Military Administrative Section of each district. We know that you are used to the hardships from childhood, many of you experienced war or famine, now we do not want you to end up like that. Call with confidence! ”, Said Minister Pinzari.

It should be mentioned that the VETERAN telephone line was established in the beginning of April this year. At the same time, in order to manage the problems of war veterans, a crisis cell was created at the Ministry of Defense.
