The Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, paying a working visit to Cosnita



CHISINAU, April 9 , 2020 — The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari and the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, paid a working visit to the Dubasari district.

Initially, the officers went to the 3rd Battalion of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces (FMMP), deployed in the village of Cosnita, which is in quarantine in connection with the declaration of a state of emergency in the country`s Security Zone.

At the same time, the battalion's infrastructure was inspected, including the barracks, staff, canteen and medical point. At the same time, the Minister Pinzari and Deputy Minister Lisnic documented the activity and training conditions of Moldovan peacekeepers, the equipment and the condition of the military technics in the unit.

During the visit, the Minister of Defense warned the Battalion leadership and the entire military about the need of monitoring the rules of protection against COVID-19, by regular sanitation and disinfection of rooms, but also by prohibiting access to foreigners on the territory of the unit.

"Now more than ever it is very important to be responsible and disciplined in our actions, so as not to allow the spread of the new coronavirus in the units of the National Army. That is why, I ask you to follow our instructions and not allow the violation of security measures, because the fact that you will manage further actions in this regard depends on the health of the staff you have under your command ", said Alexandru Pinzari to the Battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Tudor Arabadji.

 

In Dubasari, the Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari and the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, also had a meeting with the district president, Grigore Filipov, and representatives of the local public administration, with whom they discussed the situation in the region in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and other existing social and economic problems.
