The leadership of the National Army visited the "Dacia" Brigade from Cahul

CHISINAU, May 20, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari, accompanied by the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, paid a working visit on Tuesday, May 19, to the "Dacia" Brigade from Cahul.

The army leadership became acquainted with the unit`s infrastructure, the living and working conditions of the staff and inspected the brigade`s training center. At the same time, officials watched a march of technical units.

At the end of the visit, Minister Pinzari and General Gorgan decorated with distinctions of the National Army and offered diplomas to the military teams that monitored and supervised, together with police, the movement of locals and vehicles in Etulia and Cismichioi villages, Vulcanesti district, declared in quarantine at April 25, thus contributing to the efforts of the authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Alexandru Pinzari, thanked the 38 soldiers for the impeccable service and dedication with which they fulfilled their missions at the fixed posts in these localities.

"When the people there needed your help, you went without hesitation to do your duty, proving that the National Army is always ready to intervene for the good of the population. I also appreciate the professionalism of your commanders, because they knew how to train you at a high level, so that today you are ready to help, especially in the actions to fight the new coronavirus", said the Minister of Defense.

It should be mentioned that previously, Alexandru Pinzari, together with General Igor Gorgan, visited other units of the National Army, including the "Moldova" and "Stefan cel Mare Brigade", the Special Force Battalion "Fulger" and the 22nd Battalion Peacekeeping, the "Decebal" Aviation Regiment from Marculesti, the Anti-Air, the Ungheni Artillery Battalion and others.
