Two units of the National Army inspected by the Minister of Defense, Alexandru PinzariCHISINAU, June 4, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari, together with the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, paid a working visit to the National Army Maintenance Base, located in Bacioi. The Minister of Defense, Alexandru Pinzari, documented the activity of the Maintenance Base and checked the process of repair and re-equipment of the military equipment in the production sections and the rooms for the reconditioning of the fighting machines. At the same time, the military officials got acquainted with the infrastructure of the unit, the technique to be restored, but also the service conditions of the military. During the discussions with the staff, the most pressing problems faced by the military unit were identified, the most important being the lack of personnel specialized in the repair and reconditioning of the equipment, especially technicians. The Minister, Alexandru Pinzari, mentioned that, together with his colleagues from the General Staff, they will analyze the situation at the highest level and will take measures to solve the existing problems. In Bacioi, the Minister of Defense, Alexandru Pinzari, also visited the 1st Battalion of the Anti-Air Missile Regiment, where he got acquainted with the activity and living conditions of the military on time and by contract, from the unit. Also, the officials documented the condition of the equipment and armament, the staff of the 1st Battalion, the car park, the canteen and the barracks were inspected. At the end of the visit, the minister appreciated that the military respects the rules imposed by the authorities in the context of the pandemic, honoring their service obligations.
