CHISINAU, May 27, 2011 — We want to make disabled children feel happy and discover the world they live in, Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta stated Friday, May 27, during a concert for disabled children of military and civilian employees of the National Army.

The Minister of Defense stated disabled children’s fundamental rights are respected both by means of policies and reforms implemented and events where children feel protected and joyful.

„Through this activity, the Minister of Defense tries to support families with disabled children”, the Minister said. „Except compassion, disabled people need solidarity, support, love and respect from us”.

During the event held at the Central House of the Army, the children had a walk with a little train. Then, they attended a show with dances, songs, clowns, juggles and magic.

The event organized by the Ministry of Defense preceded Children’s Day. On June 1, Children’s Day, the Ministry of Defense will organize a trip on a ship on the Dniester River for 150 children of the National Army employees.
