CHISINAU, July 9, 2020 - More than 720 soldiers, recruiting in the units of the Chisinau garrison, took the military oath today.

Alexandru Pinzari congratulated the young soldiers on the occasion of the event that marks a new beginning in the life of each of them, with new responsibilities and challenges. "Until today, you have had initial training, you have managed to get acquainted with the activity and regime of a military on time, tactical training, front training, military regulations. You managed to understand, each on his own experience lived here, that a soldier is characterized by discipline, courage, but also the desire to defend his country and come to the aid of its people at any time ", said the Minister of Defense.

During the ceremony, colleagues from the "Fulger" Special Purpose Battalion presented a program of demonstration hand-to-hand combat exercises for soldiers.

It should be noted that in the context of the epidemiological situation in the country, the Ministry of Defence`s leadership took the decision that the military swearing-in ceremony should be conducted without parents and relatives, and the participants complied with all protective measures against COVID.

We recall that the young people incorporated in June this year in the National Army passed the initial training course at the Bulboaca polygon. Upon completion of the oath, they were transported to units to perform their 12-month military service.
