The members of the Military College met at the Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, September 16, 2020 - The meeting of the Military College took place today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and the heads of the subdivisions of the ministry`s central apliance.

The agenda included topics on the provisions of the National Army`s long-term military capabilities Development Plan (2020-2030), modernization, re-equipment and reconditioning of weapons, equipment and military equipment, evaluation of results on construction and capital repairs of the military infrastructure objects for the current year, as well as the identification of the modalities and resources necessary for the achievement of the respective objectives in 2021.

The Minister of Defense, Alexandru Pinzari, mentioned during the event that the development of the defense institution` s capabilities is one of the priorities of the institution he leads and that contributes to the modernization of the National Army, respectively, the increase of its attractiveness.

"I appreciate the efforts of the responsible structures in the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff in achieving this important goal. I am glad that despite the epidemiological situation in the country, we managed to mobilize to identify the best ways to solve some pressing problems of the National Army with reference to military heritage. I continue to rely on the support and experience of the specialists within the institution for the successful implementation of the initiated projects and the improvement of the activity conditions for the staff ", said Alexandru Pinzari.

During the meeting, the members of the College approved a series of actions for 2021, aimed at the development of the National Army, in the context of implementing the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI), but also the National Army`s long-term military capabilities development plan. (2020-2030).
