The National Army intervenes in Comrat to liquidate the consequences of the floods

CHISINAU, September 30, 2020 - About 60 soldiers of the National Army were deployed, this morning, in Comrat, to liquidate the consequences of the torrential rains that took place on September 29 in the southern part of the country.

The military of the "Dacia" Brigade from Cahul are currently operating, with two special technical units, for the evacuation of goods and mud from private households and from flooded streets, together with colleagues from the relevant structures.

"The army has always been with society in its heyday. Currently, the military is intervening to save the goods from the households affected by the floods in the south of the country and we are ready to intervene, upon request, in other areas affected by natural disasters", said the Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Interior, following the torrential rains of September 29, dozens of households from Leova, Cimislia districts and, especially, the localities from ATU Gagauzia were affected.
