Quality of the recruitring, analyzed at the Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, October 15, 2020 - The State Commission Army Enrollment met today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense.

The meeting, which was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, in the presence of Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari, was attended by representatives of central public authorities, chairmen of district recruitment-incorporation commissions, military center commanders and heads of administrative-military departments the country.

The agenda of the discussions included topics regarding the results of incorporation into the National Army during April-July, the achievements and existing problems in recruiting young people for the service, the quality of the incorporation process, as well as the recruitment task for October 2020-January 2021.

During the event, the members of the Commission highlighted the achievements and shortcomings in terms of incorporation into the Armed Forces, in the context of the epidemiological situation in the country.

In this regard, among the main problems were the insufficiency of human resources for the efficient functioning of the district recruitment-incorporation commissions, the moderate level of cooperation between the structures responsible for incorporation, as well as their austere budget for successful recruitment, selection and training young people for military service on time.

Thus, the structures and the responsible persons are to undertake concrete actions, which should contribute to the optimization of the conditions for incorporation in the military service in time, among which the completion of the medical-military commissions with the specialists necessary for the efficient examination of the recruits.

"After two years, the State Commission for Incorporation has revived its activity. A professional army involves identifying solutions to motivate young people to join, capacity building during military service and, as a result, the formation of a qualified human resource for the National Army, "said Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic.

The State Commission for Incorporation was created in 2010 under the auspices of the Government and aims to coordinate the activity of recruitment and incorporation commissions, exercise control over the incorporation of Moldovan citizens into military service and examine appeals submitted by citizens.
