The National Army Maintenance Base to the Attention of the Minister of Defense and Chief of National Army General Staff

 CHISINAU, November 2, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari and the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, visited today the National Army Maintenance Base from Bacioi village.

The officials checked the process of repairing and reusing military equipment.

At the same time, the production departments and the combat vehicles renovation sites were also inspected, including the Military Vehicle Maintenance Workshop under construction with the support of the US Department of Defense.

The visit included the inspection of unit`s military vehicles, as well as vehicles of other National Army units that are being repaired at the Maintenance Base.

During the visit, officials also discussed with technicians and mechanics involved in maintenance activities of military vehicles.

At the end, the Minister of Defense assured them of all support, specifying that the missions they perform are among the most important for efficient operation of the defense institution.

"During my visit in the National Army Maintenance Base, I saw the conditions in which new buildings are actually active, which are being built with the support of our American partners and which will improve the repair process of the technologies brought here from all garrisons. I will make efforts for this project to be completed, so that the soldiers in the unit will find it easier to fulfill their obligations, and the technique will be functional", mentioned Alexandru Pinzari.
