Tactical Exercises carried out in Cahul (video)

CHISINAU, December 4, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Victor Gaiciuc and the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, but also the upper echelon of the defense institution followed a tactical exercise with combat shootings at the Training Center of the Motorized Infantry Brigade "Dacia" from Cahul.

The training scenario included the simulation of different tactical situations with combat fire from anti-air artillery, Machine gun and gun-howitzer scale D-20, as well as testing the abilities of the mechanic-drivers to handle the military equipment of the unit.

The Minister of Defense highlighted the good training of the officers, sergeants and soldiers participating in the actions during the exercise. "The professionalism of the military is known in the training grounds, where they train intensively. Today, the soldiers of the "Dacia" Brigade have demonstrated that they are well trained and fulfill their missions responsibly. I thank all those involved, from the soldier to the commander, for the effort made in the successful development of the applications", said Victor Gaiciuc.

The tactical exercise is part of the National Army`s combat readiness plan for the current year and aims to maintain an optimal level of professional training of the military and the combat capability of the subunits. During his visit to Cahul, the Minister of Defense also met with representatives of local public authorities to discuss collaborative relations with the military in the garrison in the south of the country and their involvement in social activities in the region and missions to demine and liquidate the consequences natural calamities.
