Moldovan-Ukrainian Meeting at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU December 22, 2020 – The Minister of Defense Victor Gaiciuc met today with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Republic of Moldova, Marko Shevchenko who presented the new Defense attaché, Colonel Oleksii Brahinets.

Victor Gaiciuc congratulated the military official on his appointment and wished him success during his mandate. Minister Gaiciuc expressed the conviction that the experience of the new Defense attaché attaché will contribute to the development of cooperation relations between the two armies

The Ambassador Marko Shevchenko mentioned that the partnership between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine on the defense dimension has progressed including due to the contribution of military attaches.

The official reiterated his country`s readiness to continue cooperation in joint activities.

The meeting was also attended by Colonel Vadym Pavliuk, who ended his mandate in Chisinau. On this occasion, Minister of Defense Victor Gaiciuc awarded him the medal "For Strengthening the Brotherhood in Arms" and thanked the Colonel for the efforts made for developing the bilateral collaboration.

Colonel Vadym Pavliuk thanked for the trust given during his activity as a military attaché in our country, mentioning that for him it was an honor to work with colleagues from the National Army of the Republic of Moldova.
