2021 - New Military Training Year in the National Army

CHISINAU, January 14, 2021 - The combat capabilities of all National Army military units have been checked today by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and General Staff, in accordance with the Training Plan of the National Army for 2021.

According to the Chief of the General Staff, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, The conscripts and service members from the military garrisons carried out specific actions using military vehicles. The source specified that the training is necessary to verify the readiness of service members for the execution of the missions established by the upper echelon.

During the operative meeting with the representatives of the subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, the acting Minister Victor Gaiciuc mentioned that in 2021 the defense institution will focus on developing the capacity of command structures and military units to ensure the execution of its basic mission but also support in exceptional situations.

At the same time, Victor Gaiciuc asked the officers from the command corps to make an effort for the efficient development of the training and preparation process of the staff with the observance of all safety measures regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

It should be noted that the testing was done in the framework of assessing the units` level of readiness, as well as according to the National Army Training Plan for 2021.
