Transfer of Authority between National Army Contingents in KFOR Operation (video)
CHISINAU, January 15, 2021 - The transfer of authority between the National Army contingents on the KFOR mission took place at the Camp Villaggio Italia Multinational Base in Pech, Kosovo.
Thus, during the event, which was attended by representatives of the KFOR operation, the commander of the 13th Moldovan contingent, Lieutenant-Colonel Veaceslav Corcodel, handed over responsibilities of Lieutenant-Colonel Anton Anghelcev, who will occupy this position post in the next six months.
In turn, Moldovan officers, sergeants and soldiers from the 14th contingent took over the duties of colleagues and vowed to carry out missions in the area of operations responsibly.
At the end of the mission, for the professionalism shown in the performance of their duties, the Moldovan soldiers from KFOR-13 were decorated with the medal "In service of peace and freedom" BALKANS (In the service of peace and freedom) by the commander of the Western Regional Command (Regional Command- West - RCW), Colonel Gianluca FIGUS.
In his turn, Lieutenant Colonel Veaceslav Corcodel, handed over from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova the medals "Strengthening the Brotherhood of Arms", "For Humanitarian and Peacekeeping Missions", and "For Cooperation" to a group of soldiers from RCW subdivisions.
