The National Army, ready to intervene in areas affected by snow

CHISINAU, January 28, 2021 - The mobile teams of the National Army are ready to intervene with special technical units to unblock the national roads, evacuate people and provide assistance to the snow removal teams of the relevant institutions.

Acting Minister of Defense Victor Gaiciuc ordered the leadership of the National Army to mobilize the military and technical units to participate, at the request of local public authorities and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, in the snow removal and unblocking works on national roads. "Due to the heavy snowfalls of the last 24 hours, the soldiers from the 4th Anti-Air Battalion of the National Army came to the support of their colleagues from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations with personnel and equipment on the Causeni-Stefan Voda route. Also, a mobile team from the 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade "Dacia", equipped with special equipment, is currently on the route Albota de Jos and Balabanu, Taraclia district, to tow heavy vehicles derailed from the road ", a mentioned Victor Gaiciuc.

According to the deputy chief of the General Staff of the National Army, Brigadier General Mihail Buclis, mobile teams are formed in all military units, equipped with Kamaz, URAL, KRAZ, ZIL 131 transport units, ready to intervene to provide the necessary assistance.
