Diplomas and Medals for The National Army servicewomen
CHISINAU, March 5, 2021 - Military women and civil employees, from the National Army were congratulated on the eve of International Women`s Day, during ceremonies held at the Ministry of Defense and in military units.
At the headquarters of the defense institution, the acting minister Victor Gaiciuc handed the women distinctions and diplomas for performance in office.
"I am happy to send a good thought to mothers, wives, grandparents, daughters, sisters because you are always with us and support us in everything. I believe that it is the duty of each of us to thank you every day for the impeccable way you perform your work, wherever you are, regardless of the profession you have chosen, because you do your job with dedication, professionalism and a lot of responsibility ", mentioned Minister Gaiciuc.
In the same context, Victor Gaiciuc expressed his gratitude to the ladies from the army medical system, who engaged in a hard fight with the pandemic. "I am proud of the courage they show every day and, especially, because the first people to be vaccinated in the Army were also women and they are an example for the whole family of the National Army, but also society, in these difficult days ", said the Minister of Defense.
Also today, the unit commanders congratulated the subordinate staff, offering them diplomas, distinctions and flowers.
It should be noted that 20 percent of the National Army is women. They work in several fields, including medicine, transmissions, infantry, artillery, justice, logistics, accounting, topography and public relations.
