The National Army`s contract-based military are vaccinated against COVID-19



CHISINAU, April 15, 2021 - About 400 militaries of the National Army were vaccinated during the second stage of the national anti- Covid immunization campaign.

According to the head of the Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Victor Pirtina, the contract-based military who are on the priority list, such as officers, sergeants and soldiers from the Joint Peacekeeping Forces, those involved in patrols in the emergency period dictated by the pandemic, but also the persons expected to participate in international missions and exercises or in studies abroad.

According to the order of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection no. 93 of February 5 regarding the implementation of the National Anti-COVID Immunization Plan, the contract-based military of the National Army are vaccinated in the second stage, together with the employees of the maintaining and ensuring public order and state security.

The vaccination campaign in the National Army started on March 2, by immunizing the medical staff from the medical institutions and subdivisions of the defense structure.
