National Army Contingent KFOR 14 – five months in Kosovo Mission (video)



 

CHISINAU May 26, 2021 - The National Army service members from the 14th contingent of the National Army, seconded in the KFOR peacekeeping operation, continue to carry out missions in the area of responsibility.

According to the contingent commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Anton Anghelcev, the Moldovan peacekeepers are guarding the region`s Visoki Dečani Monastery and the permanent deployment base of the Regional Command-West (RC-W). Likewise, the Moldovan military it carries out an exchange of experience with Italian colleagues in terms of firing techniques from the armament of the two armies.
The source specified that the Moldovan infantry periodically carry out patrols on cars, and the engineers search the territory for the detection and identification of explosive objects in the ground.

It should be noted that the 40 KFOR-14 peacekeepers left for Kosovo in January, and their term is six months.
