Moldovan-German Defense Consultations in Berlin
CHISINAU, October 13, 2021 – A delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff participated on October 11-13 in the Moldovan-German defense consultations, held in Berlin, Germany.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives of the two defense institutions, reviewed the achievements in the context of bilateral cooperation for the current year and analyzed the activities planned for 2022. At the same time, the discussions focused on identifying new areas of cooperation, beneficial to both armies.
Thus, the Moldovan and German experts referred to the progress made in reforming the defense sector, as well as the assistance provided by the German side in various fields, including training, logistics, human resources management, provision of equipment and specialized equipment for ammunition stockpile management.
In this regard, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff thanked colleagues from the defense institution of the Federal Republic of Germany for their constant support for the development and modernization of the national defense system, through projects and initiatives.
Also during the meeting, Moldovan specialists informed their German colleagues about the priorities of transforming the National Army into a mobile and modern institution, allied to international standards, able to fulfill its missions. The talks covered issues relating to the topics regarding the objectives of strengthening the cooperation relations with Germany, which is one of the strategic partners of our country.
Bilateral consultations were conducted in accordance with the Moldovan-German Cooperation Plan for 2021.
