Experts of the Romanian Defense Staff visit the Ministry of Defense
CHISINAU, October 13, 2021 – Analysis and identification of support solutions for the development of the corps of sergeants of the National Army, were the main topics discussed today at the meeting of Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii, with the team of experts of the Romanian Army Defense Staff.
In this regard, Minister Nosatii mentioned the objectives of transforming the National Army into an institution adjusted to international standards, the priorities aimed at developing the corps of soldiers and sergeants, as well as the problems faced by this category of soldiers, with emphasis on protection social work, pay and education.
At the same time, the official thanked the Romanian Government for the assistance provided over the years, through training programs and courses with the participation of soldiers and sergeants, as well as for the availability of specialists from the Romanian army to share experience in the field. Thus, Anatolie Nosatii said that she continues to rely on the expertise of the Romanian side in creating a viable, professional and interoperable sergeant with the other armies. In his turn, Colonel Iulian Negoescu, the leader of the team of Romanian experts, reiterated his readiness to support the process of modernizing the National Army`s defense capabilities according to international standards. Colonel Negoescu highlighted the importance of addressing the issues of bilateral cooperation within the Moldovan-Romanian joint commission in the field of defense, as well as increasing interoperability between the two armies, through the participation of Moldovan and Romanian military in bilateral and multinational exercises.
It should be mentioned that the team of experts of the Defense Staff of the Romanian Army is on a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on October 12-15.
The purpose of the visit is to identify ways of assistance in the field of initial vocational training and continuous development of the corps of sergeants and soldiers of the National Army.
