The cooperation of the National Army within the Partnership for Peace with the North-Atlantic Alliance, Discussed at Ministry of DefenseCHISINAU, November 3, 2021 — The Secretary of State Valeriu Mija and representatives of the Ministry of Defense met today with the, Head of the Eastern Partnership Division of the Political Relations and Security Policy Department, Tanya Hartman and the Acting Head of the NATO Liaison Office in the Republic of Moldova (NLO), Barbora Paclíková. The talks included subjects related to the cooperation of the National Army`s within the Partnership for Peace with the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO), the current state of implementation of the Defence Capacidty Building Initiative (DCBI), the individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP), as well as the PfP Planning and Review Process (PARP). Another topic addressed in the discussions was the participation of the Republic of Moldova in international peacekeeping operations.
In this context, Tanya Hartman appreciated our country`s contribution to global security by participating in the KFOR mission in Kosovo, mentioning on behalf of the North Atlantic Alliance the readiness to support the Republic of Moldova in various sectors, including security and defense reform, in accordance with international democratic standards.
