The New National Army Commander is Colonelul Eduard OhladciucCHISINAU, November 8, 2021 - The Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii presented today to the military and civilian staff of the defense institution the new head of the General Staff, Commander of the National Army, Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc. Anatolie Nosatii congratulated Colonel Ohladciuc on the occasion of his appointment, expressing his conviction that the vast experience he has will help ensure the efficient functioning of the institution. The official added that the new commander will have all the support from the leadership of the Ministry of Defense in achieving the objectives of transforming the National Army. Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc is a graduate of the Military University in Kharkov, Ukraine, of the War College in Bucharest, Romania, as well as of the "George C. Marshall" International College of Security Studies. He has over 30 years of experience in the military field. He held several command positions in the National Army, the last being the Deputy Chief of the General Staff (operations and training).
It should be noted that the President of the Republic of Moldova, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Maia Sandu, signed on Friday, November 5, the decree on the appointment of Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc as Chief of the General Staff of the National Army, Commander of the National Army.
