The New Russian Attaché Presented at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, November 10, 2021 – The Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii had a meeting today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova, Oleg Vasnetov, who introduced the new Russian military attaché in our country, Colonel Andrei Lobov.

During the meeting, officials discussed the Moldovan-Russian defense cooperation and the regional situation.

Minister Anatolie Nosatii reiterated the intention to develop collaborative relations with all partners of the Republic of Moldova, including the Russian Federation, based on mutual respect.

The Minister of Defense also highlighted the readiness of the institution he represents to discuss issues of common interest, within the limits of its competences.

In his turn, Ambassador Vasnetsov stated the openness of the Russian Federation towards promoting a constructive dialogue, according to the topics of the bilateral agenda previously addressed, as well as the possibility of identifying new topics for collaboration.

The parties agreed on the continuation of the dialogue between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova and that of the Russian Federation by evaluating the current bilateral agenda at the level of experts with the formulation of proposals for the future.

In the end, Minister Nosatii congratulated the attaché appointed for our country and wished him success during his mandate.
