Moldovan-Belarusian cooperation addressed to the Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, December 9, 2021 - The commander of the National Army, the Chief of the General Staff, Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc had a working meeting with the representatives of the office of the military attaché of the Republic of Turkey accredited in the Republic of Moldova based in Bucharest, Alper Dilsiz and Çağram Sağlam.

The talks focused on cooperation between the two states` armies and the prospect of deepening them, as well as the priorities of the new leadership of the Ministry of Defense.

Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc, mentioned during the meeting, about the objectives of transforming the National Army into an institution adjusted to international standards, as well as about the possibility of cooperation with Turkey in this regard.

At the same time, the commander of the National Army appreciated the contribution of the Turkish partners to the implementation of the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI), but also to the NATO / Partnership for Peace project on the destruction of pesticides and chemicals in the Republic of Moldova.

The parties also discussed the scholarships offered to Moldovan soldiers in the Military Academy of the Land Forces and the Turkish Air Force Academy.

In his turn, military attaché Alper Dilsiz said that his country will continue to provide the necessary support to the Republic of Moldova in the defense segment, by carrying out current projects, especially in the field of military education.
