Mission accomplished for the 15th National Army contingent in Kosovo (video)
CHISINAU, January 17, 2022 - The 15th National Army contingent has completed its mission in Kosovo.
On this occasion, the peacekeepers were decorated with distinctions and diplomas, in a ceremony that took place today, in the Military Camp 142.
Present at the event, Secretary of State Sergiu Plop stated that the 40 officers and NCOs demonstrated good performance and fulfilled their peacekeeping missions with honor, responsibility, and professionalism.
"Thank you for your service and professionalism during your six months in office. Through your good performance in this peacekeeping operation, you have reiterated our country`s position as a provider of international security, as well as our efforts to create strong partnerships at European level", said Sergiu Plop.
The KFOR-15 contingent was in Kosovo from July 2021 to January 2022. The 40 Moldovan infantrymen and engineers carried out missions to patrol and guard targets in the area of responsibility, as well as to search the ground for explosives.
