The Romanian Ambassador to Chisinau was decorated with the Medal "For Cooperation"

CHISINAU, March 31, 2022 - Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii received a visit from the Ambassador of Romania to Chisinau, His Excellency Ambassador Ionita, on the occasion of the end of his term in the Republic of Moldova. The Romanian defense attaché, Colonel Cristi Ladaniuc, and his deputy, Captain Alexandru Panturu, were present at the meeting.

As a sign of gratitude and appreciation for his contribution to the development of cooperation between the Romanian Embassy and the Ministry of Defense, the Romanian diplomat was decorated with the Medal "For Cooperation" of the National Army.

In this way, Anatolie Nosatii thanked the Romanian official for the receptivity and assistance provided to the defense institution during its activity in the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing that Romania is and remains a valuable neighbor and strategic partner for our country.

The Minister specified that the support received from Romanian colleagues has been intensely felt over the years, especially in consolidating the efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region, as well as in the development of the defense sector.

In this regard, the Minister of Defense referred to the efforts to promote the strategic dialogue within the Moldovan-Romanian Joint Commission, the assistance provided to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of projects carried out in the context of European integration of the Republic of Moldova and for Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI).

At the same time, Minister Nosatii thanked the Romanian Government for the assistance provided in the field of military education and the training of the Moldovan military in various national and international exercises.

In his turn, Mr. Daniel Ionita mentioned that he was honored to hold the position of Romanian Ambassador to Chisinau, specifying that the Romanian state will continue to assist the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova in carrying out projects and programs aimed at transforming the National Army into an institution modern in accordance with international standards.
