Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, May 26, 2022 — Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii had a meeting today with the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Republic of Moldova, Dima Al-Khatib.

The agenda included topics on bilateral cooperation on jointly managed projects with UNDP, as well as the identification of new areas of common interest.

Minister Nosatii thanked the UNDP representative in Moldova for the support provided over the years in the development and modernization of the National Army.

At the same time, Anatolie Nosatii mentioned the contribution made by UNDP at the national level in the implementation of UN Resolution 1325 Women, Peace and Security through UNDP and UN Women Moldova as well as that it continues to rely on their support and assistance in the field.

For his part, Dima Al-Khatib welcomed the cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, adding that the organization he represents will continue to support the promotion of jointly initiated projects.
