The Air Base from Marculesti – 30 Years of Performance

CHISINAU, May 27, 2022 — The "Decebal" Aviation Regiment celebrated 30 years of activity. On this occasion, an anniversary ceremony took place on the plateau of the unit, which was attended by the Commander of the National Army, the Chief of the General Staff, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc military, and civilian employees.

The commander of the National Army congratulated the unit, mentioning his professionalism and dedication in carrying out the missions established by his superiors. "Each of the military and civilian employees of the unit has demonstrated during the 30 years of activity of the Aviation Regiment that they are devoted to the profession, responsible, persevering, and, last but not least, professionals in everything they do every day, being on duty both in the country and abroad, in various peacekeeping missions with an international mandate", said General Ohladciuc.

On the occasion of the anniversary and as a sign of appreciation for the performance in the service, a group of soldiers of the unit received diplomas and distinctions of the National Army.

The "Decebal" Aviation Regiment was created by decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova on May 28, 1992.
