The National Army General Staff celebrates 2 years of activity

CHISINAU, July 8, 2022 - Today took place the anniversary ceremony of the General Staff Regiment "Brigadier General Nicolae Petrica" in the presence of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, General Staff of the National Army, veterans, but also relatives of the military on mandatory military service and contract-based service of the unit.

At the beginning of the event, the Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii congratulated the military and civilian employees of the unit, mentioning the excellent way in which they fulfilled their missions. "The General Staff Regiment is a unit that underwent a reform process two years ago, with a well-trained staff in several fields, which fulfills its missions with great responsibility and dedication. Thank you for your professionalism and contribution to the modernization of the defense institution, which is done through teamwork", said Minister Nosatii.

On this occasion, Anatolie Nosatii handed diplomas and distinctions of the National Army to a group of soldiers who recorded outstanding performances in the activity.

The event continued with a musical program of the Presidential Orchestra, the presentation of some demonstrative elements by the soldiers of the Honor Guard Company, but also the visit of the exhibition of equipment, weapons, and military outfits.

 The General Staff Regiment was founded in 2020 and named in honor of Brigadier General Nicolae Petrica, commander of the National Army from 1992-1993.
