Romania has a new accredited military attaché in Chisinau



CHISINAU, July 26, 2022 — Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii received today, the Chargé d`Affaires a.i. from the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Moldova, Adrian Sirbu.

The officials reviewed the current state of collaborative relations between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, with an emphasis on the field of defense, and military reform, as well as the prospects for intensifying the strategic dialogue. Mr. Adrian Sirbu was accompanied by the new defense attaché, military, and aero accredited for our country, lieutenant colonel Ciprian Afanasie Efimov, and colonel Cristi-Mitica Ladaniuc, who completed his mandate in Chisinau.

On this occasion, Anatolie Nosatii congratulated Lieutenant-Colonel Efimov on the occasion of his appointment and expressed his belief that the experience possessed by the latter will contribute to boosting the Moldovan-Romanian partnership by continuing the projects of his predecessor and identifying new joint activities in the defense segment.

Other topics on the discussion agenda concerned the security situation in the region and the assistance provided by Romania in the context of achieving the objective of transforming the National Army into a modern institution that meets international standards.
