Republic of Moldova - 31 years of Independence

CHISINAU, August 27, 2022 — National Army soldiers from all garrisons participated today in the festivities dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Moldova.

In Chisinau, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the National Army, together with the members of the Government, laid flowers at the "Maica indurerata" and "Stefan the Cel Mare" monuments. Later, the service members of the National Army Honor Guard Company and the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova participated in the inauguration of the National Holiday "Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova".

At the same time, the service members from the southern, central, and north military garrisons participated in the manifestations organized on the occasion of the national holiday and laid flowers at the monuments dedicated to the fighting actions for the defense of the integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova.

In Negresti, on Sunday, August 28, the inauguration ceremony of the commemorative plaque of the fallen heroes for the independence and integrity of the Republic of Moldova will be held, during which the medals of the war veterans will be handed out.
