Moldovan Service Members Train at multinational exercise “Citadel 2022”

CHISINAU, September 7, 2022 — A National Army contingent participates in the multinational communications and computer science exercise "Citadel 2022", which takes place between September 5-23 and 9, in Rasnov, Romania.

At "Citadel 2022", the Moldovan military are involved in two workshops: Information technologies and security and cyber defense. They train and test, based on a fictitious scenario, the capabilities to monitor, detect and respond to cyber-attacks in an interoperable environment.

The multinational communication and computer science exercise "Citadel 2022" brings together soldiers from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, and Italy.

It should be noted that the national Army has been participating in this exercise since 2017.

"Citadel" is a technical exercise dedicated to communication and information structures for planning and achieving the specialized support needed to ensure the information exchange at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels in hostile cyberspace.
