The military attaché of the Hellenic Republic at the Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, September 22 — Secretary of State Valeriu Mija had a meeting today with the Military Attaché of Greece accredited for the Republic of Moldova based in Bucharest, Captain (N) Dimitrios Katsouras.

The officials reviewed the aspects of the Moldovan-Greek military cooperation and discussed its development prospects.

Secretary of State Mija thanked the Greek Government for the possibility of training Moldovan soldiers in the educational institutions in Greece, specifying that good training of military personnel is a priority for the National Army. In this context, the Secretary of State specified that two students from the Republic of Moldova are currently studying at the Military Academy of Land troops in Greece.

The Greek military attaché was also informed about the reforms carried out in the National Army, participation in peacekeeping missions, cooperation with foreign partners and modernization of the defense institution.

At the end, the parties agreed to intensify bilateral relations between the defense institutions of the Republic of Moldova and the Hellenic Republic through new projects and programs of common interest.
