CHISINAU, September 23, 2022 — The leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff met today with the military attachés accredited in the Republic of Moldova to discuss bilateral cooperation on the defense segment. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Military Science and Memory Agency.

During the meeting, there were discussed topics regarding strategic partnerships, reforms carried out in the National Army Defense Capability Building Initiative (DCBI), contributions to international peacekeeping missions, as well as the regional security situation.

According to the Secretary of State in the field of Defense Policy, National Defense Planning, and Military Interoperability, Valeriu Mija, this represents a major step towards restoring cooperation relations with strategic partners, which contributed to the transformation and modernization of the defense institution.

In this context, Valeriu Mija thanked the foreign military diplomats for the assistance offered in some initiatives and projects launched in our country, but also for the support offered in the participation of the National Army in international peacekeeping missions. "We continue to count on your support in developing military cooperation with the governments of the States you represent," said Secretary of State Mija.
