Head of the NATO Liaison Office at the end of her term

CHISINAU, October 17, 2022 —Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii had a meeting with the head of the NATO Liaison Office (NLO), Kristina Baleisyte, who ends her mandate in our country.

On this occasion, Anatolie Nosatii handed the diplomat the medal "For Cooperation" in gratitude for her personal contribution to strengthening the cooperation relations between the Ministry of Defense and the North Atlantic Alliance.

In this respect, the official thanked Mrs. Baleisyte for her dedication to implementing programs and assistance projects on the defense segment in our country, including the Defense capacity building Initiative (DCBI) package.

At the same time, Minister Nosatii appreciated the contribution of the head of the (NLO) to the implementation of the provisions of the long-term capability Development Plan, as well as the strengthening of the participation of the national Army in peacekeeping and stability operations at the international level.

In turn, Kristina Baleisyte thanked for the support and trust during the execution of the mandate, highlighting the receptivity and professionalism of the staff of the defense institution in communicating with the NLO team on topics related to the progress of the implementation of joint initiatives in the field.
