National Army service members started the training at Hohenfels Training Area, Germany



CHISINAU, October 18, 2022 — Over 100 National Army troops participate, on October 4-24, this year in the exercise "KFOR 31 Mission Rehearsal exercise" (KFOR 31 MRE), which takes place at the Military training Center in Hohenfels, Germany.

The exercise aims to train the contingent of peacekeepers to be deployed to the Kosovo peacekeeping operation in 2023.

Moldovan infantry and engineers are trained in theoretical and practical sessions on car and foot patrol, specific missions at the checkpoint and crossing, crowd control, guarding important objectives, as well as field research for the detection and destruction of explosive objects.

This year, National Army soldiers train at Mission Rehearsal exercise with colleagues from Albania, Armenia, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, North Macedonia, Romania, and the United States of America.

Participation in the Mission Rehearsal Exercise is part of the foreign activity Plan of the Ministry of Defense and National Army for 2022.

The National Army has been participating in exercises in Germany since 2012.
