The conscription requirement into the National Army was approved

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Draft Decision "On the results of enlistment in military service in April — July 2022 and enlistment in military service in October 2022 — January 2023." Therefore, about 1,500 young people are to be enlisted in the military units of the National Army. Of these, 740 will be assigned to perform military service within the period from October 31 to November 1.

According to the procedure, the enlistment process in the National Army is carried out twice a year, in stages, according to the schedule developed by the Ministry of Defense. Enlistment of citizens into mandatory military service is carried out in compliance with Law no. 1245 of July 18, 2002, regarding the preparation of citizens for the defense of the Motherland.

The mandatory military service lasts 12 months.

We specify that, within October 18-21 this year, more than 500 conscripts who performed their mandatory military service for twelve months were transferred to the reserve.

NOTE! The process of recruiting into mandatory military service is not related to the security situation in the region, or to a possible declaration of mobilization in the country.
