Strong Admission Contest at the Military Academy



CHISINAU, July 27, 2011 — Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta attended Wednesday, July 27, the admission exams at Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy of Chisinau, held during July 25-29.

Nearly 200 young men from Moldova willing to become military students and future officers of the National Army had to pass an intelligence test and a physical training test today.

The Military Academy Commander, Col. Mihail Buclis, stated the Military Academy had provided 100 vacant places for studies to 175 applicants.

Buclis pointed out the intelligence test contained 60 questions from different areas which candidates had to answer in one hour, including 20 questions of Logics, 10 — Romanian language, 10 — Mathematics, 10 — Physics, and 10 questions of History.

The young candidates had to pass three tests for the physical training exam such as: 100-meter distance running, dead hang pull-up exercises and a 1000 meter resistance running.

The admission contest at Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy was organized for the following military specialties: infantry, artillery, and communications.

The length of studies is four years. Accommodation, food and military equipment are free for students.
