Reservists Tested at Bulboaca
CHISINAU, July 29, 2011 — Over 100 representatives of central and local public authorities, as well as active-duty reservists, took part Friday, July 29, in a mobilization exercise at Bulboaca Training Site.
The National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Iurie Dominic, stated the exercise was meant to check the mobilization knowledge and skills of reservists and engage the participants in National Army weapon and technical equipment handling actions.
“Training on military training sites is a very important item in the reserve training program, for this helps reservists acquire real skills and knowledge. Both, shooting techniques, as well as driving armored vehicles, can never be forgotten and I would like to congratulate the reservists on this military exam”, Gen. Dominic stated.
During the exercise, the reservists shot the infantry weapons, including the grenade launcher. They also had the possibility to drive armored vehicles on the training site track. Moreover, the reservists familiarized with the military technical equipment, weapons and infrastructure of Bulboaca Training Site. They visited the barrack, training rooms and the canteen, where they had the soldier’s lunch.
The mobilization exercises involving central and local public authorities, as well as the active-duty reservists, are held twice a year as part of the reserve staff training program approved by the Republic of Moldova Government in 2010.
