National Army soldiers donate blood and plasma on the eve of the winter holidays (video)

CHISINAU, December 23, 2022 — About 400 soldiers and civilians of the National Army from the Chisinau, Balti and Cahul garrisons voluntarily donated blood and plasma during the current December 20-23 period. The action was organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense, jointly with the National Blood Transfusion Center, in order to meet the state reserve and the needs of the military institution.

The Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii joined the campaign and donated blood, together with the personnel of the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion “Blue Helmets”, the General Staff Regiment “Brigadier General Nicolae Petrica” and the Special Purpose Battalion “Fulger”, at the collection center set up in Military Camp 142 in the capital.

“By personal example, I urged my colleagues to actively participate in donation campaigns of this kind, so that we can contribute together to replenishing the national blood reserve. This gesture, done voluntarily, became even more significant on the eve of the winter holidays”, said Minister Nosatii.

The director of the National Blood Transfusion Center, Silvia Rosca, thanked the National Army soldiers for the beautiful collaboration established over the years by participating in the blood donation campaigns organized at the national level. “Through these actions, the National Army becomes not only a guardian of the common citizen, but also of the health system, in terms of donating blood and plasma for patients whose lives depend on this type of treatment. We would like to we keep the same beautiful collaboration in the coming years as well”, emphasized Silvia Rosca.

It should be noted that, since the beginning of the year, about 2000 servicemen on term and on contract, as well as civilian employees of the National Army have voluntarily donated blood and plasma within the campaigns organized in partnership with specialized institutions in the country.
