The video conference of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the National Army with the soldiers in international peacekeeping operations
Chisinau, December 30, 2022 — The Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatii, and the Commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc, discussed today via video conference with the commanders of the National Army contingents deployed in peacekeeping operations in Kosovo and Lebanon.
During the dialogue, Minister Nosatii was informed by the superiors of the contingents about the security situation in the areas of responsibility, but also about the way the peacekeepers carry out their missions.
The Minister of Defense thanked the military for the responsibility and dedication with which they carry out their every task, interacting effectively with comrades from other contingents from allied and partner countries.
“This year, you spend the winter holidays away from your families and relatives. I want to thank you for your dedication and professionalism in carrying out your peacekeeping missions. Through your good performance, the National Army becomes more credible in the international arena and more interoperable with our partners in the areas of responsibility”, said Minister Nosatii.
For his part, General Ohladciuc urged the Moldovan peacekeepers to remain vigilant, to act in accordance with the rules of activity established by the mission command.
It should be noted that currently there are 41 soldiers in the KFOR operation in Kosovo, and four officers and staff sergeants in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mission.
