The plan of actions dedicated to the Day of Commemoration of those who fell in the War in Afghanistan, analyzed by the relevant Organizing Committee
CHISINAU, February 3, 2023 — The members of the organizing committee for the events devoted to the Day of Commemoration of those who fell in the War in Afghanistan met today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, the actions provided for in the February 15 commemoration event plan and the scenario plan for activities, which will be organized both in the city of Chisinau and in the districts of the country, on the occasion of the 34th anniversary, were analyzed from the withdrawal of the limited contingent of military troops from Afghanistan.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Igor Cutie, who presided over the meeting, highlighted, at the beginning of the meeting, the necessity and importance of the effective organization of the demonstrations on February 15, requesting the persons responsible from the relevant institutions for maximum responsibility and efforts in managing problems that may occur along the way.
Pursuant to the Government’s order of February 1, 2023, during the current year, in the city of Chisinau, but also in the localities of the country, there will be a series of events dedicated to the Day of Commemoration of the Heroes Fallen in the War in Afghanistan, including divine services, commemoration ceremonies , laying of flowers, the organization within the Agency for Science and Military Memory of the exhibition of documents and historical materials dedicated to those who fell in the war in Afghanistan.
