Over 300 soldiers swore allegiance to the Motherland in Chisinau, Balti and Cahul

CHISINAU, March 10, 2023 — More than 300 soldiers took the military oath today in the National Army garrisons.

In Chisinau, during the ceremony in the General Staff Regiment “Brigadier General Nicolae Petrică”, the Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatîi congratulated the 155 young people for the successes achieved during the initial training course. "Taking the Military Oath is a solemn day in your life. You performed well at today’s ceremony, and this is certainly due to the four weeks of initial training, during which you matured, disciplined and became more responsible. I wish you success in your military service, and after a year, come home proud of your achievements. To those who will decide to join the family of professional soldiers, we will say “Welcome to the National Army!”, said Anatolie Nosatîi.

At the same time, the minister of Nosatî thanked the relatives of the soldiers for encouraging their sons to complete their military service on time and urged them to continue supporting them in all their achievements.

Similar ceremonies also took place in the municipalities of Balti and Cahul, where more than 150 other soldiers swore allegiance to the Motherland. The events were attended by the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc, and, respectively, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Army, Colonel Sergiu Cirimpei.

It should be noted that the young people, who took the military oath today, were incorporated this January.

The term military service lasts 12 months.
