The Moldovan military is participating in the international exercise "Sea Shield 2023" in Romania



CHISINAU, March 16, 2023 — The soldiers of the National Army will train, between March 20-22 this year, at the multinational exercise “Sea Shield 2023” held in Romania.

The platoon, made up of officers, sergeants and soldiers from the “Dacia” Motorized Infantry Brigade, will perform live fire alongside Romanian and Polish soldiers at the “Babadag” Secondary Combat Training Center.

The purpose of the exercise is to increase the level of interoperability, the synchronization of operational procedures between the militaries of different states and the development of capabilities for the execution of missions.

The multinational exercise “Sea Shield 2023” is a training event, planned and conducted by the Romanian Naval Forces, through the Naval Component Command.

About 3,400 soldiers and representatives of several institutions from the Romanian defense system, as well as from 12 other NATO allied and partner states, will participate in the training, which will take place between March 20 and April 2.
