Professional Development Courses for National Army Public Servants


CHISINAU, September 20, 2011 — Public servants of the National Army will attend a professional development course during September 20 — November 15 at the Public Administration Academy under the aegis of Republic of Moldova President.

Sources of the Human Resource Management Directorate stated 100 public servants of the National Army had been selected for the above course. All of them need to undertake professional development in compliance with the legislation in force.

“The 72-hour training program consists of six modules”, LTC Sergiu Voinu, Chief Human Resource Policy and Military Education Department, stated. “The participants will attend a public administration course, public servants’ activity management course, national security, defense and mobilization training. They will also study communication and psychology, secretariat work, as well as different aspects of the Labor Code”.

Voinu pointed out the course for the public servants selected by the Ministry of Defense would consist of three stages. Thus, the public servants will work in groups. The course will be held within the following time periods: September 20 — 30, October 18 — 28, and November 15 — 25.

According to the national legislation, each public servant working in a government institution is bound to undertake professional development  at least 40 hours per year.
