Servicemen Compete In a Football ChampionshipCHISINAU, September 21, 2011 — The National Army Mini-football Championship opened Tuesday, September 20, at Stefan cel Mare Light Brigade from Chisinau. According to LTC Vasile Olednic, Chief of the National Army Physical Training and Sports Service, 12 teams of servicemen coming from Chisinau, Balti and Cahul military units registered for the championship. Olednic stated the football matches would be host by Stefan cel Mare Brigade and the Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment. The championship will be held during September 20 — 30. “This competition is meant to promote healthy living and train servicemen for this kind of sports. The participants will be divided into two groups. Then, the semi-finalists will be listed”, Olednic said. The final of the National Army Mini-Football Championship will be held on September 27 on the artificial turf mini-football field of Stefan cel Mare Brigade inaugurated within “Toti impreuna” Program implemented by the Football Federation of Moldova.
